Recap of 2020 NOCO Night to Shine

2020 Northern Colorado Night to Shine

On Friday, February 7, 2020, the Northern Colorado Collaboration team consisting of Redeemer Lutheran Church, Grace Community Church, Mosaic, Foundations Church, Crossroads Church, and Timberline Church, with the support of nearly 1,000 volunteers, welcomed over 500 friends with special needs to NOCO Night to Shine.

A snow storm rolled through the foothills that evening, but that did not stop us from having a wonderful time celebrating God’s love for those with special needs and coming together as a community to serve and provide a truly magical evening for all our honored guests.

Inside the church, guests were able sing their hearts out in a karaoke room or bust a move on the dance floor to our live band and DJ! There were silly photo booths, limo rides through the parking lot and professional prom photographs taken. Ladies were able to have their hair and makeup done prior to the start of the dance and men could get their shoes shined throughout the evening. Special appearances were even made by superheros and movie characters such as Captain American, Batman, and Rapunzel. The evening was capped off by every guest being crowned king and queen of the prom!

Please join us next year on Friday, February 12, 2021 to celebrate those with intellectual disabilities in our community. Stay tuned for details!
